05/14/2025: Rustin Ice Hockey Club proudly welcomes Chris Francis as the new Head Coach of our Varsity Golden Knights! Coach Francis is a Penncrest alum and a former four-year D1 club hockey player at West Chester University. He founded the Kingsway Regional High School ice hockey program, serving as varsity head coach and leading the team to the S.J.H.S.H.L. Tier 2 Championship in 2014–15 — the same year he was named Coach of the Year. He’s also coached at Springfield High School and Harriton High School, and currently serves as an assistant coach at Neumann University. Coach Francis brings a fast, smart, and physical brand of hockey to Rustin. He emphasizes discipline, puck movement, and player development on and off the ice.

Rustin is thrilled to announce that our middle school teams will be partnering with Method Hockey this upcoming 2024-2025 season! This collaboration will aim to enhance the development of our junior knights, offer flexible training sessions, and create a team environment for our young players. Last night our Rustin M.S. teams celebrated their seasons with a team skate, food, fun, awards (listed below), and a whole lot of smiles! Thanks to all of the players for their hard work, the parents for driving them to the rink, the coaches who continue to help grow our kids’ love of the game, and all the volunteers that made the 2023-2024 season possible. 02/21/2024: Last night five of our emerging Rustin Middle School Ice Hockey players were selected to skate with the Development Middle School All Star South Team. During the showcase our forwards Marco Sigman, Sean Galloway, and Nolan Mehl displayed their exceptional skills and showed hints of Rustin Ice Hockey’s upcoming potential and future dominance. Blue-liners Colin Kwaitkowski and Luke DiBatista exemplified their talent, resilience, d-zone insights, and proved to be indispensable to the team’s defensive efforts. Despite the game’s challenging outcome, with a 4-0 win for the North team, these players’ performances highlighted their capabilities and bright futures. Their dedication and skill have set them apart as ones to watch in the progression Rustin’s scholastic ice hockey program. GREAT WORK KNIGHTS!

Last night our 8th Grade Rustin M.S. skaters Ashlyn Jacobs, Danny Pucci, and Cash Pogharian played in the 2024 ILMSHL No-Check Division All Star game for the Middle School South team. The game was tight as both the North and South All Star teams were very evenly matched. Cash Pogharian assisted in keeping it a close matchup by holding the blueline. Forward Ashlyn Jacobs led the charge on offense and was a +2 on the evening, and Danny Pucci had an exceptional performance providing a critical assist to tie the game up and force overtime. In the end our Rustin skaters and the All Star South team prevailed with an overtime win. Congrats to our Middle School Knights!

Rustin Ice Hockey’s Middle School Lady Knights delivered an unforgettable performance during last night’s 2024 ILMSL Development All-Star game. Forward Emma Gaffney demonstrated her skill and determination by contributing 2 points to the M.S. North All Star team. Silvia Sigman and Gretchen Difilippo teamed up to fortify the team’s defense and also contributed to the scoresheet with assists. Carlin Difilippo was exceptional in net and made some spectacular saves to shut the door on the M.S. South team’s efforts. Congrats to our Lady Knights for their remarkable performance!

Rustin Ice Hockey club’s talent was on display yesterday at the ICSHL’s New Years Day All Star Games. Hailey Smith had a goal and an assist in the Girls Varsity All Star Game, Nate McGuire showcased his hard work and skills to lead the JV American All Star Team to a victory, and Brady Founds capped of an eventful New Years Day by scoring in the Ches-Mont Varsity All Star Game. Great work Hailey, Nate, and Brady for your awesome performances and for representing your fellow Rustin Ice Hockey Golden Knights with extreme excellence and prowess!

Last week our the varsity team clinched a victory in a riveting face-off against their Ches-Mont division rivals W.C. Henderson. Aidan Bobst and Daniel Kephart each tallied 2 points, Luc Rollet and Brady Founds provided crucial assists, and Jayden Shavney’s goal secured the lead in an electrifying 3-1 win. Wins don’t come easily in the Ches-Mont division. The dynamic performance displayed by our Varsity boys last Friday night underscores their overall commitment to excellence on the ice.
